INFINITI INTERACTIVE MIRRORS

INFINITI INTERACTIVE MIRRORS

To add interactivity and wow to their completely redesigned international auto show kits for Infiniti, The George P. Johnson Company designed a new three screen touchless interface into the physical build of their auto show set. This system used an innovative combination of mirrored glass, rear projection, and heat sensors to create a seamless large screen experience that allowed users to point ( rather than touch ) to interact. My team was approached to design the content for the experience from the ground up. We organized the basic architecture around Infiniti’s key strengths: Design, Innovation, and Performance. These areas, along with a section that showcased the brand’s model lineup, created the hub for the experience. From this jumping off point users could learn more about Infiniti’s key innovations in these areas. With a tight budget and limited pool of assets we creatively employed kinetic typography, animated stills, and video assets to tell engaging brand stories that pulled users in and grabbed their attention.

Above are several examples of the installation in context, the presentations that played, and the resolve screen that would appear after a video presentation. The resolve screens showcased a static image and additional information that gave further context to the video presentation, in addition it housed the navigation elements needed to continue the experience.
